01Strictly necessary storage

These are used without consent because the service cannot work without them:

• Account session (browser local storage set by the authentication service): keeps signed-in users signed in until they sign out or the session expires.
• Demo mode flag (session storage, this tab only): lets visitors explore the laboratory demo; cleared when the tab closes.
• Campaign parameters (session storage, this tab only): keeps ad campaign tags from the link you arrived with so they can be passed to Stripe checkout; cleared when the tab closes.
• Advertising choice record (local storage, candliss-advertising-consent): remembers your cookie choice with a random visitor reference, timestamps, region and notice version, kept until you clear browser storage.

02Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel)

With your consent, the Meta Pixel loads and sets Meta cookies such as _fbp (and _fbc when you arrive from a Meta ad) to measure page visits and clicks that open the $20 reservation checkout, and to help optimize ads. Meta sets their duration; Meta states _fbp lasts about 90 days.

In the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland and other consent-required or undetermined regions — including Italy — the Pixel does not load until you accept. Elsewhere it may run without a banner unless you refuse in Cookie settings or your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

03Third-party sites

Stripe uses its own cookies on its hosted checkout page, governed by Stripe's policies (https://stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal). Candliss does not control them.

04What is not used

The website code does not include Google Analytics, other advertising pixels, or cookie-based analytics. Visitor statistics shown to the owner come from the hosting platform. [Owner to confirm whether hosting analytics uses any cookies or identifiers.]

05Managing your choice

Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom-left of any page to accept, reject or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal takes effect immediately, including in other open tabs. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
