These draft terms cover the Candliss website, pre-order reservation and authorized laboratory use. They are not legally approved or a statement of full compliance; marked owner details require completion before live sales.

Candliss is designed to provide educational content and tools for organizing candle-making experiments — planning, recording, testing, troubleshooting and comparing.
CANDLISS is not yet complete. Features, lessons and tools may be added, changed or removed before and after launch. Application previews shown on the website are illustrative and may differ from the final product.
Candliss is a digital candle-making laboratory currently under development. A reservation is a refundable $20 USD deposit included in the $90 USD total one-time product price, not an additional fee. The remaining $70 USD is payable separately when the laboratory is ready, before access, and will never be charged automatically. No subscription is required and the deposit does not provide immediate access. Expected access begins October 31, 2026; this date is an estimate and may change.
The Pre-Order & Refund Policy forms part of these terms. Checkout is hosted by Stripe. Visiting /reservation-confirmed is not proof of payment; Stripe payment records establish the payment status. When the laboratory is ready, we will contact reservation holders about the separate $70 final payment and access. The deposit is refundable upon request before the final purchase, without limiting applicable consumer rights.
To request a refund of your deposit, email support@candliss.app with the email used at Stripe checkout and, if available, your Stripe receipt or payment reference, and say that you would like your reservation deposit refunded. Do not send full card details, passwords or verification codes. We will use Stripe's payment records to locate the payment, ask only for information needed to identify it, and confirm the outcome. A missing receipt does not by itself prevent a request. Refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible; the payment provider determines when they appear.
If availability is delayed, you may wait or request a deposit refund. If the product is canceled or your reservation cannot be fulfilled, reservation holders will be notified and their deposits refunded. No arbitrary refund-request deadline is imposed by these terms, and applicable withdrawal, cancellation and other consumer rights remain unaffected.
Candle making involves heat, open flame, hot wax, flammable materials and other risks. You are solely responsible for how you make, test, store and use candles.
CANDLISS does not certify candle safety, does not provide professional or regulatory advice, and does not guarantee any formulation, burn performance or diagnosis. Information in CANDLISS is general and educational, and content entered by you is not technically validated.
Account registration is available, but laboratory access is currently restricted to authorized testers. Creating an account, paying the $20 deposit or visiting the confirmation page does not grant full paid laboratory access. Keep your login details secure and provide accurate account information. Existing tester access is separate from the pre-order offer.
You keep ownership of the content you create or upload, such as formulas, notes, observations and photos. You grant CANDLISS a limited licence to store and display that content solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.
The CANDLISS name, branding, design, software and educational content are owned by the operator or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them except as allowed by these terms or by law.
We may update, suspend or discontinue parts of the service, subject to applicable consumer rights. Material reservation changes will be communicated to reservation holders. If Candliss is discontinued before a reservation is fulfilled, the Pre-Order & Refund Policy applies.
To the extent permitted by law, CANDLISS is provided “as is”, and the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for damage resulting from candle making or testing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.
